jasonroachcollection I've been waiting for a decade for Thanasphere to release something. This was worth the wait. It's glorious. This masterful track is a metal space Odyssey that tells a tale of impending Armageddon.

Many ages ago When I was just a lone traveler By chance I came upon A planet gone red with the threat of oblivion I set a course for the source A man gone bitter, a ghost from my past Grown fat with a power A twisted vision, once of my kin I met with this man And so it began The skies quaked with rage as I rattled his cage A beast in his cave faced with a chance to be saved He blazed in his shame as I spoke his true name name Peeling away the blame He sent forth his fire rising up in a spire A conflagration to burn away his true face I turned and I grinned and I offered my hand To this faceless tyrant, and said to him this: Find aid in this hand or force in this fist And so it goes and so it went And so it begins again He laughed at the thought and declared my conceit And triggered the trapdoor, perfectly hid at my feet "I gave you a choice!" I dove and I ran But it was just then that my true plan began I would drop into silence, awaiting the chimes Two men bound by time, awaiting the blip in our line Alignment of cause for effecting the blind The motion begins with a drop of blood Northward I then pushed on Maintaining the veil, time for my plan to creep on Lost to the memories of a lifetime behind Long gone seems my brother, our bond beyond time The gears began slowly to turn Time runs fixed to the gap of our lives Sleep took me then dreams became all my thought Wound tight our fates bound, I felt the gears wake to life Turn! Seven winters spent out in the cold The time has now come for events to unfold My messenger sent, my message received One word to rouse the rabble of this world And so the time has come I reached the peak of his fortress at dawn When the final battle began The clash raged on for twelve hundred days The earth poured forth fire as I broke his desire The beast with his shame faced with a chance to be saved He sought for his beam, but to no avail The chant of this world left crippled his hand And so he sent forth a wail still sure I would fail The final cry of a man on the edge I looked on with pity and I offered my hand To this unmasked tyrant, and said to him this: Find aid in this hand or force in this fist He let out an awful laugh and prophesized a new rise He spoke of an axis upon which we turn Marked by the twelve a place to host my death "We shall meet again" he declared as he spoke The coward, the man, the foe I just smote As he dropped into silence, he whispered once more Such conviction of speech for a dying breath I held onto those words for these long-spent years "The motion begins with a drop of blood"
